Local reception knowledge
Wokingham’s TV comes from Hannington, south-west of Basingstoke. Most of the area is fairly flat and open, and reception is generally good.
The town has grown fast, with thousands of new homes at Arborfield Green, Montague Park and around the edge of town. New-builds are often fitted with basic aerials, sometimes in the loft, and those don’t always cope, especially once the estate’s trees and neighbouring houses fill in around them.
In the older parts of Wokingham, around the market place and Emmbrook, period homes often need a discreet aerial position, and many still have aerials and cables that have been on the roof for decades. A check of the whole system is usually the quickest way to a better picture.

A new aerial isn’t always the answer. We measure the signal first and fix what’s actually wrong.
Usually water in the cable, a corroded connector or a misaligned aerial.
We measure signal quality, not just strength, and fix the cause.
The TV input, a loose lead, an amplifier or the aerial.
We trace where the fault starts: the TV, the socket or the roof.
Often the wrong transmitter, or a relay that doesn’t carry every channel.
We check which transmitter suits your address, then retune.
Loose fixings and water in the connectors.
We secure the aerial and replace damaged cable so it holds up.
