Ascot: a choice of TV regions
Ascot sits towards the edge of two TV regions. Most aerials in the area face east to Crystal Palace and London news, while a few face west to Hannington and pick up BBC South instead.
The bigger challenge is trees. Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale are heavily wooded, and tall pines around the aerial are the most common reason for a poor picture. A taller mast or a carefully chosen mounting point usually solves it.
If you’d like both regions, it’s possible to fit two aerials, or to combine an aerial with a satellite dish. Freesat lets you choose between BBC regions. We’ll explain the options and what each would involve at your address.
