Local reception knowledge
Windsor points at Crystal Palace, around 25 miles to the east, and most of the town receives every Freeview channel with London news. The low-lying streets by the Thames and the tree cover around the Great Park can weaken the signal in places, so a well-sited aerial matters more than a bigger one.
Much of central Windsor and Eton is a conservation area with listed buildings, where aerials and dishes on the front of a house can need consent. We look for a position at the rear or in the loft that keeps the signal and the street view both intact, and tell you when you should check with the council first.

A new aerial isn’t always the answer. We measure the signal first and fix what’s actually wrong.
Usually water in the cable, a corroded connector or a misaligned aerial.
We measure signal quality, not just strength, and fix the cause.
The TV input, a loose lead, an amplifier or the aerial.
We trace where the fault starts: the TV, the socket or the roof.
Often the wrong transmitter, or a relay that doesn’t carry every channel.
We check which transmitter suits your address, then retune.
Loose fixings and water in the connectors.
We secure the aerial and replace damaged cable so it holds up.
Windsor & the surrounding area
Clewer and Dedworth have rows of Victorian and post-war homes where old aerials and cable are the usual faults. Along the river at Old Windsor and Datchet, homes and flats are exposed to wind and damp, which shows up in corroded connectors and aerials knocked out of line. We secure, reseal and test everything before we leave.
We cover Windsor and the surrounding villages across SL4 and SL3. Give us your full postcode when you call and we’ll confirm the visit.
