Local reception knowledge
Most Bracknell aerials point towards Hannington, giving BBC South news, though on the eastern side of the town some homes can choose Crystal Palace and London news instead.
Bracknell’s post-war estates, such as Great Hollands, Birch Hill and Harmans Water, were built in large phases, and many homes still have aerials and cables that are decades old. Perished cable and green, corroded connectors are what we find on most of these roofs.
The town is still growing, with large new developments at Warfield, Jennett’s Park and Amen Corner. Builders’ aerials are often the minimum spec, and on an exposed new estate that isn’t always enough.

A new aerial isn’t always the answer. We measure the signal first and fix what’s actually wrong.
Usually water in the cable, a corroded connector or a misaligned aerial.
We measure signal quality, not just strength, and fix the cause.
The TV input, a loose lead, an amplifier or the aerial.
We trace where the fault starts: the TV, the socket or the roof.
Often the wrong transmitter, or a relay that doesn’t carry every channel.
We check which transmitter suits your address, then retune.
Loose fixings and water in the connectors.
We secure the aerial and replace damaged cable so it holds up.
Bracknell & the surrounding area
Bracknell has a regenerated town centre with plenty of flats, many sharing a communal aerial or satellite system. When a whole block loses channels together, the shared amplifier or head-end is the usual suspect, and we work with managing agents to get it fixed.
We cover Bracknell and the surrounding villages across RG12 and RG42. Give us your full postcode when you call and we’ll confirm the visit.
